Dental Implants

Smile, laugh and eat again with absolute confidence! If you are missing teeth and have experienced permanent dental implants, we think you will agree that they are one of the best dental technologies ever developed. Dental implants can get you back to enjoying life in ways that dentures and bridges never could and can replace single teeth so you would never know they are missing.

An implant acts as a substitute for the root of your missing tooth. The titanium fixtures bond to the bone in your mouth. These fixtures form a foundation for a replacement tooth that looks and feels just like your natural teeth. Implants have quickly become the most preferred method of tooth replacement.

There are numerous advantages of dental implant treatment over traditional treatment options. For instance, it is not necessary to grind down the bordering or adjacent teeth for a bridge, or secure a partial denture to them with clasps that might eventually loosen the natural teeth. By utilizing titanium fixtures, people who are missing teeth may be spared the many problems associated with traditional false teeth.

When a tooth is lost, it is normal for the jaw ridge to shrink leaving a defect. Implanted fixtures actually help preserve the gum ridge and jaw bone density by providing the stimulation that was previously provided by the natural tooth roots. This helps maintain the integrity of facial structures.

Tooth Colored Fillings

We offer all restorations, from metal-free fillings and bondings to inlays, onlays and crowns. Choosing a filling that is right for your particular circumstance requires us working in partnership with you. You can always count on us to keep your mouth healthy, whole and beautiful.

Early detection of decay and cavity treatment is important for patients of all ages. Consistent exams, cleanings, dental sealants and conservative repairs can help keep the teeth’s natural strength and beauty without the use of metals or waiting for things to become worse and more difficult to treat. Remember, dental decay is the number one chronic disease of children, so don’t put off a healthy start for your child.

We like to catch cavities as early as possible so that we can preserve your tooth structure and strength. In fact, when some tiny cavities are caught early enough, they might be filled without anesthetic.

Dental Sealants

Some types of teeth need a little more care and attention than others. Some people, for example, have grooves and fissures in their molars. These grooves collect plaque and keep it there. Since the bacteria found in dental plaque cause decay, the longer the plaque remains on a tooth’s surface the more likely it will be able to form a cavity. By bonding sealants of plastic resin into the grooves, we make the surface of your tooth smoother and so much easier to clean. This is especially important for children who may not brush well enough or who have a history of dental cavities.

Crowns

A dental crown, also sometimes called a cap, is a perfectly fitted restoration that repairs and strengthens a tooth that has fractured, has a large cavity, an old filling that has failed, or has had root canal therapy. Unlike an inlay or onlay, a crown completely covers the tooth.

Bridges

A dental bridge is custom made false tooth or teeth placed permanently between two healthy teeth, filling in the areas left by a missing tooth or teeth. The bridge is held in place by crowns placed on the healthy teeth on each side of the space that is to be filled. Our bridges are mostly metal-free. As a result, they absorb light just as natural teeth do to create a beautiful, natural-looking smile. Most importantly, our bridges are created and custom-fitted based on careful measurements, 3 dimensional model jaw movement simulators, models, mock-ups and intermediate “trial” restorations so that the fit and appearance of your bridge is perfect. Bridges stabilize the position of your teeth to help correct some bite problems and improve speech.

We use the very best laboratories and technicians to custom create and fit your crowns and bridges for strength, endurance and appearance. Crowns can also be used for cosmetic purposes, enhancing the appearance of a tooth that is discolored or misshapen. If your teeth have been badly damaged or need structural integrity and support, dental crowns can be an effective treatment option. Our crowns are shaped and colored like a natural tooth to restore strength and eliminate discomfort. As always all of these restorations are done with the same careful planning and design to give you superior results.

Dentures and Partial Dentures

Missing teeth do not have to be a way of life. If you are not a candidate for dental implants, consider our other tooth replacement options, including custom made precision bridges and precision full or partial dentures. A denture is a removable appliance that replaces missing teeth and adjacent tissue. Made of resin and porcelain, complete dentures are used to replace all teeth. When some healthy teeth remain, a partial denture can be used. A partial denture also keeps the remaining, healthy teeth from shifting in the mouth. Full or partial dentures improve chewing ability, speech and support the facial muscles. Dentures also enhance appearance. While removable, these alternatives can be stable and beautiful when precision techniques and attention to detail are uncompromised. Like a fixed dental bridge, all dentures and partial dentures are built to our exacting standards on three dimensional jaw movement simulators. In addition, we most often can eliminate the unsightly wires and clasps that show in many other types of dentures and partial dentures.
